I am a Lecturer (with tenure) of Corporate Finance at University of Bologna, Department of Management, and I teach Corporate Finance and International Finance at the Schools of Economics, Management and Statistics and Political Sciences. I graduated and obtained a Master Degree in Finance from University of Bologna in 2005, then I received my PhD in Finance at Catholic University of Milan, where I dealt with arbitrage pricing of corporate warrants and their effects on the riskiness of firm's equity capital. I joined the Department of Management at University of Bologna in 2010, after a post-doc and a position as Instructor of Valuation in MSc International Management at the same University. In 2007 I was PhD Visiting Candidate at the Department of Economics, Mathematics and Statistics, Birkbeck University of London. In 2010 I was Associate Lecturer at the Department of Accounting and Finance, Leeds University Business School, UK, where I taught Financial Derivatives in MA Accounting and Finance.
My current research interests embrace (a) asset pricing theory applied to corporate finance (particularly, in the fields of equity-dilutive financial derivatives and fixed-income securities), (b) financial risk management and hedging policies, (c) valuation of companies (estimation of firm’s cost of capital and value of tax shields from debt), (d)IPOs and going private transations, and recently (e) household finance.
