David Mitchell Reeb is a Provost`s Chair and a Professor in the Departments of Finance and Accounting at National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School. Previously, he was the Fuller Senior Research Fellow at Fox School of Business at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Dr Reeb`s research focuses on family-controlled, publicly-traded firms and encompasses financial markets and financial disclosure choices. His work has appeared in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Accounting Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Law and Economics, and the Journal of International Business Studies. His body of research has generated over 1,000 citations in other academic works, according to Web of Science (Google Scholar 5000+). In addition, his work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, The Economist, Forbes, the Financial Times, the International Herald Tribune, Inc. Magazine, Smart Money, MSNBC, and several other leading publications in the US, Canada, and Australia. He has also been interviewed by CNN, Comcast and Bloomberg TV. In addition, he is a department editor at the Journal of International Business Studies and served as a guest editor for the Journal of Economics and Business.
Dr Reeb has been consistently recognised for his academic contributions. He was on the Dean`s Research Roundtable and Honour Roll at Temple University. He was a finalist for the Battle Price Best Paper in Corporate Finance (2003), by American Finance Association. He was also nominated for American University Professor of the Year award (2001) for excellence in teaching.
Dr Reeb completed his Master of Science at Georgia State University and PhD in Business Administration at the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina
